Biography
Atanas Pekanov is former Deputy Prime Minister, overseeing European funds in Bulgaria’s governments. He holds a master’s degree in economic policy from University College London and conducts research at the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO).
Pekanov’s work focuses on macroeconomic policy within the European Monetary Union, with contributions to journals like the European Journal of Political Economy. He has also been a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University, researching macroeconomic models and their impact on income distribution.
