Robert Bouwmeester is Head of Operational Risk Management at NIBC Bank, where he combines deep expertise in banking operations with a passion for innovation. He previously served as Head of Operations, driving efficiency and control. Later, he managed the integration of an acquired business and led the bank’s IPO preparations before becoming Operations Director for Corporate Banking. In that role, he led KYC remediation and its RegTech enhancements and implemented a partnership with a fintech-driven firm to optimize portfolio management.
Today, Robert focuses on Operational Risk Management, further improving risk frameworks, data driven insights and and operational resilience in an evolving financial ecosystem.
