With over 16 years in financial services, Diana Patrascu currently leads sustainable finance product development and mandate design at the European Investment Fund (EIF), where she developed the first pan-EU sustainable finance portfolio guarantee. Her work supports financing in line with the EU's green transition ambitions. Previously, she developed, launched, and managed EIF’s InvestEU debt instruments focused on sustainability, innovation, and digitalisation. Before joining EIF, Diana headed funding and capital management at a top-tier commercial bank in Central and Eastern Europe, overseeing long-term funding, IFI relations, and bond issuance—including pioneering local capital market instruments such as subordinated and AT1 bonds, as well as securitisations and portfolio guarantees.
