He is responsible for advisory engagements with banks and other financial institutions focused on mobilising sustainable finance across emerging markets. Former ECB economist and supervisor, his professional journey has been characterized by a steadfast commitment to fostering capital markets development. With a rich blend of academic training, applied macroeconomic experience and a deep understanding of capital markets, Mirko has consistently contributed to transformative policy initiatives and strategic decision-making at the highest political and economic levels in Europe, and beyond. His technical expertise and policy advocacy have been key to advancing critical regulatory and supervisory initiatives of the post-crisis regulatory and supervisory landscape, on themes spanning product supervision, banking and capital markets regulation, and ESG risks.
